About
Built at the end of the 1980s, the TR-125 was Romania’s version of the highly successful T-72, which was designed by reverse-engineering the existing T-72s in its fleet. Compared to its Soviet predecessor, the TR-125 had thicker armor, a longer hull, and a heavier, more powerful V12 diesel engine. However, it used the same 125mm gun, which gave the TR-125 its name.
