The T-55 tanks that Israel captured during the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur war continued to receive upgrades even after they were modified and rebranded as Israel’s Tiran 5 vehicles. The Tiran 5Sh variant most notably replaced the Soviet 100mm gun with a 105mm cannon based on the British L7.
