About
The development of the KV-5 was started in June 1941, with design evaluation completed by August. The KV-5 was to utilize some components of the KV-1. A new turret was designed, incorporating the 107 mm ZIS-6 gun. The Minotaur received further upgrades by mounting a longer 107 mm ZiS-24 gun and improved armor.
