FV214 Conqueror Mk 2
Tier 0 · uk · heavy · Escalation
About
Although originally a late war design, the FV214 Conqueror eventually emerged as Britain's last Heavy Tank design of the Cold War era. Designed as a counter to the Soviet IS-3, the Conqueror was meant to work in tandem with the Centurion, providing long-range support to the smaller 17- and 20-pound cannon Main Battle Tanks. The Conqueror was armed with an L1 120 mm rifled cannon, a Rolls-Royce Meteor M120 engine and rather thick armor. The Mk2 version made minor modifications to the armor plates and was the primary version of the Conqueror to be produced. The Heavy Tank design of the Conqueror was ultimately eclipsed as the Centurion Main Battle Tank proved its worth.
