Object 430 U

Object 430 U

Tier 0 · ussr · medium · Post War
About
One of the main battle tank prototypes developed through the Object 430 program in the late 1950s, Object 430U proved to be an upgrade even compared to the baseline model. This was due to its 122mm smoothbore gun and 160mm frontal hull armor, which demonstrated that a medium tank chassis could support the levels of protection and firepower typically associated with heavy tanks. This knowledge later became key during the development of Object 432.
