Like the FV4005, the FV4004 Conway was a tank destroyer developed using the Centurion Mk. 3 as its basis. The FV4004 Conway employed a 120mm gun fitted to a high turret. This vehicle was intended as a stopgap measure while the Conqueror project was in development; work on it ceased without the vehicle seeing mass production.
