FV107 Scimitar

The FV107 Scimitar is a member of the same family of vehicles produced by Alvis as the FV101 Scorpion. While the Scimitar and the Scorpion share an aluminum chassis and are both officially classified under the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) designation, the Scimitar uses a long-barreled 30mm L21 cannon as its main gun. The FV107 Scimitar is employed as an armored reconnaissance vehicle with the British Army; other nations, however, have used it to fill the role of a light tank.
