Chieftain Mk. 11
Tier 0 · uk · heavy · Détente
About
Often considered the first true main battle tank, the Chieftain continued in service and saw numerous updates even after the arrival of its successor, the Challenger 1, in 1980. The Mk. 11 variant was actually an upgrade of the intermediate Mk. 8. Developed in the late 1980s, the Mk. 11 included an improved fire control system (FCS), Stillbrew passive armor, and the Thermal Observation and Gunnery Sight (TOGS) system produced by Barr and Stroud.
