AMX 32

About
Developed in 1975, the AMX 32 was intended as an affordable export variant of the AMX 30 main battle tank. Its turret could be fitted with either the 105mm rifled gun of its predecessor (which was the choice for early AMX 32 units) or a 120mm smoothbore gun. Later units also featured the Hispano-Suiza HS 110-S2 engine, capable of delivering up to 800 hp. Unfortunately, no units were ordered, and France ultimately chose to pursue development of the AMX 40 instead.
