About
The Magach 5, an updated version of the M48A1 and M48A2 tanks in service with the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), received further upgrades after it was deployed in the Six Day War. In the 1980s, it was fitted with bricks of Blazer explosive reactive armor (ERA) for additional protection.
