About
The Austrian military had an operational requirement for an anti-tank vehicle. Based on the Saurer 4K 4FA APC, the SK-105 is an airmobile tank using the oscillating turret design found on the AMX-13. The tank itself is lightly armored, with only enough protection against 20 mm rounds. The SK-105 features a 105 mm G1 gun, laser rangefinder and a semi-automatic autoloader. The SK-105 has a Steyer 7FA 6 cylinder diesel, giving it a good power to weight ratio to deal with the mountainous Austrian terrain.
